Dear Westwood Elementary School Community,

Welcome to a new and exciting school year at Westwood Elementary! As your new principal, I am both honored and enthusiastic about embarking on this journey with you. My focus for this year is to foster a collaborative environment where we can collectively support the academic and social-emotional growth of every student.

At Westwood, we believe that the foundation of a successful educational experience lies in strong partnerships. Our mission is to create an inclusive and supportive atmosphere where students can thrive academically while also developing essential social-emotional skills. It is essential that we work together—staff, families, and the community—to ensure that each student receives the support they need to excel both in the classroom and beyond.

Academically, our dedicated team of educators is committed to providing a challenging and engaging curriculum that meets the diverse needs of our students. We will be focusing on personalized learning approaches to ensure that every child’s unique strengths and areas for growth are addressed. Our goal is to empower students with the knowledge and skills necessary to succeed and inspire a lifelong love of learning.

Equally important is our commitment to nurturing the social-emotional well-being of our students. We recognize that emotional health is crucial for academic success and overall happiness. We aim to build a strong sense of community, resilience, and empathy among our students. We encourage open communication and collaboration between home and school to support our students in navigating their emotions and building positive relationships.
